Watford have revealed the first of three kits to be produced by Spanish outfit Kelme, by beginning with the presentation of their explosive home kit for the upcoming season earlier this morning.

Compared to last seasons very plain but simple and effective number, this years shirt features a lot more black than used in previous designs the Hornets have used during their partnership with the Elche based sports manufacturers. This year, the design features ragged stripes diagonally across the face of the shirt, with brief hints of yellow throughout. The black however does not continue throughout the kit, as the back will remain yellow following previous designs, but will remain on the sleeves to keep the contrast at the front.

The shorts and socks color will remain the same relative to last season, with black shorts and yellow socks. However, fans are still waiting for a popular return to red shorts, something they will have to wait another season at least to see.

The MrQ branding has also been shown for the first time on these kits, with many fans worried the company would request the royal blue on their official logo, however this has been ditched for white lettering instead. Corpay branding will also feature on the sleeves for the team on matchdays, however the club will allow the kit to be bought without the sponsoring for this season, a feature which a very limited amount of clubs utilize.

The kit again will also feature the clubs “WE” aims and values within the inside of the shirt, found near the back of the neck opening. This was a very welcome feature added to last years shirt, and another fantastic omen to the work certain people are doing internally at the club to meet these values.

The away and third kits are still yet to be revealed, however the Chinese representatives for Kelme accidentally released some leaks of both the away and third kits, which are still yet to be confirmed by the club, however give insights as to what the Hornets could be wearing on the road this season.

This kit, presumed to be either a third or a goalkeepers number, features the same design as the home kit, however in favour of an incredibly light shade, along with a darker shade of baby blue instead. The collar also features a dark blue and white contrast, with the dark covering around two thirds and the white showing at the front.

This is the presumed away kit for the Hertfordshire based side next season, which features a predominant white appeal with interestingly maroon highlights on the sleeves, collar and badges, a color not seen since the clubs away strip for the 2013/14 season. Similar to last seasons third kit, the shirt will also feature a button up collar, with two buttons.

The home kit will be able to be purchased from the 7th July onwards from watfordfc.com and in person at their club shop and Atria Watford stores. This could possibly coincide with the other kits shown in this article, however it could just be a solo release.
